Cure Acne with Tea – Associated Content
Burdock Use burdock to reduce or eliminate your acne by brewing a cup of burdock tea and letting it cool. Once cooled use the burdock tea to wash your face, back, or other body part that is affected by acne. Burdock can also be used to treat eczema, psoriais, and canker sores. The roots and seeds of burdock are the most valuable parts of this herb.
Dandelion Dandelions are the most hated weed. Many of us go to extreme lengths to rid our lawns of dandelions. However, this bright yellow weed is an herbal wonder. The benefits of dandelion tea are not limited to reducing and eliminating acne. Dandelion tea also aids digestion, reduces the effects of rheumatism, and reduces your risk of breast cancer. Despite all these medicinal benefits dandelion does not have any toxic side effects.
Echinacea Echinacea is well known for its immune boosting properties. However, many studies have shown that echinacea is also effective in the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, and acne. If possible echinacea should be purchased in freeze dried form. Echinacea becomes ineffective when mixed with alcohol. There is little to no chance of toxic side effects when using echinacea to reduce or eliminate acne.
Ginseng There are four types of ginseng; American, Chinese, Korean, and Siberian. Each type of ginseng is equally effective for treating acne and all four types of ginseng have little to no side effects in most individuals. People who tend to be nervous or “high strung” may find that ginseng increases feelings of nervousness. If you tend to be warm you will want to avoid Siberian ginseng, instead use American ginseng. If you tend to be cold you will want to avoid American ginseng and instead use Siberian ginseng. Ginseng is most effective when cultivated after five or six years so look for labels that state that the ginseng is “aged” or “mature”.
Gotu Kola Gotu kola is effective in reducing or eliminating acne by reducing toxins within the body and by shrinking the appearance of already present zits and pimples. Gotu kola does have a mild diuretic effect, so be sure to increase your water intake when using gotu kola to reduce or eliminate acne.
